Guest guest
I don't feel comfortable with my GI doc. So, I went to another one recommended by my rheumatologist. He says that he would take me on, but he thinks I'm better served keeping all my docs within the same system (UPMC). That way, they can work more closely together and all my records are easily accessible. I love my hepatologist, but my GI (for Crohns) and I just don't seem to get along. I left my last appt knowing he was getting blood tests for something he was suspicious of, but not knowing what they were or what he thought the problem might be. I find that unacceptable. I normally would have asked, but I'm now intimidated by him because in the past I have received curt replies to my questions, along with a general feeling that he is offended when I ask anything. I don't know what to do. I'm not happy with my relationship with my current GI doc and I've been told that the scheduler needs to " get permission " from him before she can schedule me to see his colleague. But this new one has suggested that I haven't exhausted all my options and maybe that would be best before going outside the system. Anyone have experience with UPMC (Pittsburgh) docs? Anyone with any advice? I'm not sure what to do anymore... Thanks in advance. Suzanna
