Guest guest
Hey all, I saw a rheumy in SLC yesterday to see if I could get a dx for whatever is destroying my nose and making my ears, throat, head, and eyes, etc. hurt. I thought maybe it was Relapsing Polychondritis. He thinks it is a type of vasculitis called Wegener's Granulamotosis. I am really feeling like I'm Job or something. OK maybe that is a bit much. My pain has been so intense lately. But how many health problems can one person have? this dr is runnning ANA, ANCA, CBC, Kidney function, liver function, urine test, chest x-ray and sed rates. He said he would let me know in a week if he wants to run more tests or if there is enough for a dx. It just brings me back to the old days of trying to get dx with PSC. I do have a bit more patience and sense of peace about such things now, but my overall health is so much worse lately. I am suffering more nausea and am throwing up in the AM. It might be the spironolactone or maybe liver failure. Here's a question about auto-immune diseases: If we get one autoimmune disease, we are more likely to get another, correct? Does that mean that for every new autommune disease that we get, that it statistically increases the likelyhood of getting another? I mean does each autoimmune we get possibly mean that we are more suseptible to getting more and than more? This does not bode well . . . Take care, Cheryl ID PSC/AIH/UC, etc.
