Guest guest
Do you have an idea of why my pulse is suddenly too high and my temperature is up? The last couple of days, my pulse has been increasing. Was running about 80 - 84, but yesterday it was running 96-100 and last night it was 120 before I went to bed! Before thyroid medication, my pulse was usually about 72. Temperature this morning was 98.8, and the last couple of weeks, I was running 98.2 - 9.3. My temps have been averaging consistently 98.2 - 98.3 with only about .1 variance, so I think my adrenals are now stable. Before I went on thyroid medication, my temperature was usually about 96.4. I am currently taking 37.5 mcg Synthroid and have worked my way up very slowly to 50 mcg Cytomel. (Doctor wanted me to take 75 mcg of Synthroid initially, but my t3/rt3 ratio was 18.4, so I at least for now cut in half until I can figure out if I really make way too much rt3 or if I was doing that because I had such low ferritin and low cortisol.) Doctor initially wanted me to take 75 mcg of Cytomel with the 75 mcg of Synthroid, but it was too much T3, too fast; heart palpitations, pulse of 120 - 130. So he prescribed 5 mcg tablets and is having me raise slowly. Not sure he knows everything I am learning about how all of this is affected by ferritin and cortisol levels, but am passing it along. He seems to be accepting it. Have been taking 17.5 mg Cortef. Have been taking 4 - 27 mg Blue Bonnet iron bisglycinate capsules for about 2 months now. Ferritin before that was 29. Thank you. Sort of confused. Am having labs done in about 2 weeks, and see doctor again in about 4 weeks.
