Guest guest
My doctor says I'm reversing. Labs from May 11 are as follows: Free T4 - 0.9 (range 0.8 - 1.8 ng/dL) Free T3 - 291 (range 230 -420 pg/dL) RT3 - 27 (range 11-32 ng/dL) TSH - 4.52 (mIU/L) B12 - 429 (range 200 - 1100) Thyroglobulin antibodies - 28 (<20 IU/ML) Total Cortisol - 19.3 (mcg/dL)Measured at 8:00 a.m. (Doctor says that adrenal fatigue is a " relative " cortisol deficiency, and that anxiety of the blood draw can make it go higher). How do you figure your t3/ft3 ratio? Help! I was ON (because I talked my old ND into it, 1/2 gr. Naturethroid before I crashed in March). My new doctor took me off of it two weeks ago because she thinks it may have caused my adrenals to go haywire. I was still on the Naturethroid on May 11 when the labs were drawn. I don't know my ferritin levels because she said we'd do that test later. Just need some good answers. Doctor says the best way to treat thyroid when rt3 is to correct underlying issue causing it. Could stress be the issue? Removing the t3/t4 combo?
