Hi! I posted a few weeks ago about if anyone is interested in doing a

chat. Well I am going to be a new host on the PBCers chat site and

you are all welcome to join me. Here us a brief bio of me.

My name is (obviously) and I'm 25 years old. I was diagnosed

with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (PBC) a week after I found out I was

expecting my 3rd & 4th children (twins) (October 2006). My pregnancy

went well until I got to 35 weeks when I developed HELLP syndrome and

my liver began acting crazy. I delivered my healthy babies and I was

fine.

Seven weeks after they were born I ended up in the ER with severe pain

and was taken in for an emergency laparotomy. They found that I had

peritonitis for some unknown reason. They also removed my appendix

since they were already in there and did a liver biopsy at my

request. That was in June 2007.

I saw my hepatologist, had an MRCP that came back abnormal. I then

had an ERCP done. The following week I met with my hepatologist and

was told that I had Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) (August

2007).

I still deal with pain, fatigue, and itching on a daily basis. I most

recently have had issues with my hands turning blue and have been told

it's most likely Raynauds syndrome.

I am good though. I've come to terms with the fact that someday I'll

probably need a liver transplant. If not, good, if I do, that's okay

too. I just live for today and cherish every chaotic moment as a stay

at home other of 4 young, spunky kids.

So come join me in chat!!!
