I've about lost track of how many teeth and fillings have cracked, split or otherwise met with disaster in the past year and a half. This is the 3rd time it's happened while eating scrambled eggs!! Good thing the dentist is a friend of ours or I don't think he would believe me!! It's as if suddenly my teeth are just crumbling. They look fine, but seem to have lost their structure. I wonder if it's connected at all to the fact that my calcium levels have gone down as the albumin has gone down. They seem to be tied together in their slide. What worries me most is that with my very low platelets (98) and my INR (1.3) I bleed heavily with dental work. After 3 weeks of lovenox injections, my blood seems to be like water, even though the injections stopped nearly 2 weeks ago now. With that much bleeding, I worry about infection. The whole time I was on Lovenox, I kept praying that my teeth wouldn't throw us another curve ball. Once the Lovenox was discontinued, I stupidly stopped that particular point of prayer!! Maybe someday I'll learn! LOL!! Regards, Carolyn B. in SC
