I just told Akiba how the bond money came about. hit up all the dad's friends to loan money toward the bond. A little here and a little here and then finally another friend of his loaned $400! This morning he started calling his firewood customers to see who wants a good deal on firewood. Some of his long time, faithful customers may be willing to prepay for some wood to be delivered this summer. If so, he has a good chance of redeeming his vehicle. Wow, that's wonderful news, Sharon! I was wondering when they'd let him go. How did he come up with the $ to get out? Didn't he have to post bond/bail? The dad is out! He was sprung this afternoon from the slammer:) His kids are so happy to have him out. It was so late when the jail finally released him so he and his kids are all spending the night here with us. I fixed a big pot of goulash and a pan of sauteed squash and they are all eating dinner right now. Tomorrow my son will take them to the grocery store and then home. The dad has court on Tuesday. We are hoping and praying the dad is able to sell enough firewood in the next few days to get his vehicle out of towing impound. I am so afraid he will never be able to get his transportation back!
