Guest guest
I do get a lot from reading everyone's input in this group. I thought I would share some of what I've been learning about chronic yeast that I haven't seen mentioned. Apparently there is a connection between a copper imbalance in the body and yeast overgrowth. Copper is a natural fungicide, but when you've taken on toxic amounts of copper (mostly due to weak adrenals) the body stores it away in organs to protect the body, where it becomes " biounavailable. " I have been learning this information from my naturopath, Dr. Larry who studied for 14 years with the late Dr. Eck, a pioneer in copper studies. Here is a link to a good article by them on Candida: http://www.arltma.com/CandidaDoc.htm I also recently read a book by the respected nutritionist Ann Louise Gittleman " Why Am I Always So Tired? Discover How Correcting Your Body's Copper Imbalance Can Keep Your Body From Giving Out Before Your Mind Does. " I think it was written in 2004. She basically takes the research from Dr. Eck and Dr. and spins her own book out of it. Here is an older article by Dr. Eck on copper that is rather interesting because it is written for the lay person: http://www.arltma.com/CopperheadsDoc.htm Hope this helps!
