Guest guest
Today is my four-month anniversary of being amalgam free! I finished round 2 of ALA only last Thursday. Based on the amount of twitchiness I had during and after the round, I lowered my dose to 3 mg. I also upped my mag to 1200 mg. .... I'm taking cal/mag now on a 1:1 ratio as opposed to the 2:1 before. Also upped my Vit. C to 8000 mg. Also removed the little potassium supplement (99 mg.) I was taking. I would say that the twitchiness was much less this time ... it never hindered my function in any way ... just messed with my mental state a bit. Still on a short fuse here and there, but really this round seemed to go OK. Didn't notice anything after the round ... (maybe felt a little " flu-ey " ... my leg muscles feel tired today but I can tell my lower back is a little off and so this may be an chiro-adjustment issue. EXCEPT ... I got a new symptom ... during this round ... all my mucous membranes got very, very dry. That would include mouth, sinuses, eyes and private area. The dry mouth and the taste that came with it got a bit uncomfortable at times. It started when the round started, got worse on day 2 and disappeared about two days after the round was completed. The taste in my mouth was somewhat metallic ... although I know everything is out (although wouldn't some mercury still be in the tissues just like it is in our organ tissues?). Maybe I'm just imagining the metallic part. But I had similars symptoms after the dentist removed my first quadrant. The dryness stuff has stopped now and the weird taste is gone as well. I did up my probiotics when this started .... and I already am taking acid producers/digestive enzymes. Am I just not hydrated enough? Something to do with ALA or supplement adjustments? I drink plenty of water ... but maybe I need more? Or is this a weird chelation symptom that is common? Should I continue on my dose and 3/4 schedule? I promise not to bug you after every round. Well I will try, anyway.
