This is all adrenal. I don't even have to look at the hair test

to know that you need to test and treat your adrenals.

And, in fact, your hair test does show the adrenal sign, with

calcium and magnesium up and sodium and potassium down. This

means your adrenals are not making enough cortisol or adrenaline

and your thyroid is low. The K/Ca ratio is low, also indicating

a thyroid problem.

Testing and treating your thyroid and adrenals will make you feel

much better.

Your hair test meets the counting rules with 11 in green/white.

This indicates mercury toxicity.

Bismuth is very elevated. This sometimes comes from contamination

of the hair, or it can be falsely elevated by mercury. It can also

be real. Sources include Pepto-Bismol and some other stomach or

digestive remedies, cosmetics, diaper rash creams. Unless you are

sure the hair level was due to contamination, I suggest you stop

using any products that are likely to contain bismuth. Chelating

with DMSA or DMPS plus ALA, as you are already doing, will remove

bismuth.

Silver is also quite elevated. Sources of silver include colloidal

silver and other medicinal products containing silver salts, and

photographic chemicals. Try to identify and remove the source of

silver. DMSA or DMPS, along with ALA may help to remove silver.

You need to alkalinize the urine to a pH of 8.0 to prevent silver

from dropping off in the kidneys.

Mercury is a tiny dot because you are not excreting it. The

chelation you are doing will remove the mercury.

For undetectable lithium, Andy suggests a supplement (p. 257)

of orotate or aspartate. This can help with mood and energy.

Your Na/Mg ratio is low. This means your body is not making

enough adrenaline. For better energy, you might try some

tyrosine or phenylalanine. Other possible supplements include

TMG, folic acid, vitamins B6 and B12.

There is more information on symptoms and supportive measures

in Andy's Hair Test Interpretation book:

> 2) I've had metal fillings since I was 10 years old. I just had 10

fillings removed in Sept. 06 and replaced with composites

> 3) On round 4 at time of the test - 25 mg DMSA and 25 Mg ALA

How are you doing on this dose? Many people need to start lower

to prevent intolerable or uncomfortable side effects.

> 4) Supplement with zinc, vit. c, taurine, folic acid, milk thistle,

B vit., mag,

In Amalgam Illness, Andy recommends more than this for minimal

supplementation. Other things you should take include vitamin

E, omega-3 oils, and molybdenum. Many other supplements are

helpful or important for some people. The book has many

suggestions to address specific problem areas.
