Well, if you do a search you will find that it is an amphetamine, " In the United States, amphetamine and methamphetamine are Schedule II drugs, classified as CNS (Central Nervous System) Stimulants.[14] A Schedule II drug is classified as one that: has a high potential for abuse, has a currently-accepted medical use and is used under severe restrictions, and has a high possibility of severe psychological and physiological dependence. There are probably other alternatives that may help, it's a matter of figuring out which ones will help you and which ones your doctor is willing to prescribe. > With adderall, my joints are better, my muscle tone is normalized > (that is huge for me) and my mood, congitive functioning is better. > Pain goes away..! > Ok, well start with the pain and ask him for REAL pain medication and if he is afraid to prescribe it ask him to send you to someone who will. People who are in pain should not be denied narcotics (in the opinion of someone with 16 years experience with pain). If your pain is treated properly your need for HC will be reduced. If the pain is treated properly the mood and cognitive function will be somewhat better too. Then you will need to find something for mood and cognitive function. There were some supplements and medications mentioned in Andy's post about depression. This post is worth reading and rereading, and then experimenting with the suggestions: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/frequent-dose-chelation/message/15287 > Another allopathic doc said she'd much rather I take adderall than HC > which " scares " her. It's the horror stories about what happens when doctors prescribe huge pharmacological doses of HC instead of physiological doses that scare her, but of course she doesn't know that. J HC does nothing compared to Adderall. > > Thanks, > Val >
