First make sure that ALL amalgams have been removed properly and

sources of exposure to metals stopped (like vaccines, high Hg fish).

Wait 4 months after amalgam fillings have been removed before starting

ALA.

Many people find that they need DMSA or DMPS to help with symptom

management, but others are ok with ALA alone, as long as it is used

properly.

Nope. The recommendation is 1/8 to 1/2 mg per pound BUT a person

starts at the LOW end and we find that many adults can't tolerate 1/8

mg per lb and must start much lower than that.

I suggest reading TKs general recommendations in the files section

here and starting several rounds with 12.5 mg per dose before

increasing. A person can always increase if they are having no

symptoms but many people scare themselves by starting too high.

That part is good. Most people find it's ok to go to 4 h at night

(because metabolism slows somewhat during sleep).

Yes, way too much.

Read the files and links, Andy's two books, start on the basic

supplements, and ask lots of questions. We are here to support one

another!!

Hi :

Wow! Thank you for the info. It

seems I was a bit off 8). I just

read the " TKs General Recommendations "

file, really good introductory reading.

I'm going to try 12.5 mg per dose

of ALA. I took out my amalgam

fillings about a year ago, and I'm

finally ready and able to pursue

my healing.

Thanks to all the list subscribers

for contributing to the 'knowledge

bank " . It helps new arrivals like me

be more comfortable and better prepared

for the road ahead!

Cheers,

Vince.
