One of the supplements I take has Croscarmellose as an additive and I'm having

trouble finding a brand that doesn't have it. I know it's listed as illegal,

but it's description is " An internally cross-linked sodium

carboxymethylcellulose for use as a disintegrant in pharmaceutical formulations.

Comes from wood pulp or cotton fibers to form carboxymethylcellulose. It

contains no sugar or starch. " Does anyone understand about cellulose? Is

Croscarmellose different from other cellulose, which is legal, because of the

cross-link or what? Is it worse than " microcrystalline celluose " for example?

All I can say is that I've had issues with it. It doesn't cause overt

problems for me, but contributes to whatever else is going on at that

time. IOW, it can be the straw that broke the camel's back.
