Guest guest
My Doctor told me to eat a low fat diet because without you gallbladder you are at risk for high cholesteral. He told me that without the gallbladder you are at risk for higher then normal cholesteral levels. He told me it was either the " good " or " bad " cholesteral but I cannot remember what he said. It was 14 years ago so things may have changed since then. Dawn > > When my gallbladder was removed my doctor told me just the opposite - he > said, " now " I could eat anything I wanted to. Guest guest
My surgeon was most concerned with the 6 weeks after surgery. What apparently happens is that your bile duct will eventually expand in an attempt to create an artificial gallbladder reservoir. 6 weeks gives you time to heal up enough so that can happen without adverse effects. Hmmmm.
