Guest guest
This used to happen to me a year or so after diagnosis - not just my face, but chest, arms, torso. This only occured after running; it has not recurred since balloon dilatation and stenting in 2001. There are a lot of things that can cause this - you should probably ask your Dr. Check out the following link: http://www.clevelandclinicmeded.com/medicalpubs/diseasemanagement/endocrinology/\ flushing/flushing.htm Interesting that Rifampin is one of the drugs listed as possibly causing flushing. Guest guest
For me, the flushed feeling was more likely to happen if my urine was also dark and I was dead tired. For me, it happened less once I started urso. I haven't had it at all since my ERCP and stent placement. Of course, everyone is different...... About the fever and chills....my fever was never very impressive. Right around 99.0, but the chills were awful. When I changed at bedtime, I would shake, my teeth would chatter, and I was miserable. Once I got into bed and had enough blankets, I was fine. I am wondering if anyone else feels their face get flush?I believe I read that fever and chills can be a part of PSC, but this is strange. It's just my head and face that feel like it's on fire - the rest of my body feels fine. It seems to tend to happen after I eat and can last between 30-90 minutes. It used to just be in the evening, but lately has been after lunch. I kind of feel like it started after I started taking the Urso about 2 months ago. It's not every day, and actually hasn't happened for me now in about 3 days. But has anyone else had " hot flashes " like these? (By the way, I'm only 33 so these better not be " real " hot flashes =) )(SoCal)

Guest guest
Yes, I have " hot flashes " . And just like you, it is not every day and usually few minutes after I eat. During last year I went to Mount Sinai in NY, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and Mayo Clinic in Rochester but no one was able to explain it.
