Guest guest
Hi all,The support from this group is just fantastic. Thank you to all who responded to my questions. I have gained a little weight instead of loosing it and I am enjoying the diet thoroughly and learning. I can't wait to be able to get off of Asacol and Prednisone but I must be patient and not rush. This illness is pushing me to be so attuned to my body and what I put in it. This is the opposite of what I have done my whole life and I still have ways to go. It is quite a trip to maneuver through allopathic doctors and their heavy meds and alternative doctors and their ways, all have a place. It feels like it has taken me 2 years to come to find like minded people and begin to find my way through it all. I guess it is difficult for the little girl in me who thought my parents would guide me properly into becoming a grown up and supporting me to be who I truly wanted to be (that didn't happen!I had to fight my way out and move across the ocean from France to California!). Same with doctors, they want me to do like them, what they know and are not open to learn from their patients most of the time. My GI is always negative if I talk about diet. She says "oh everybody is different, eat whatever you like and take my meds". I know you all know that but I wanted to express it.One question: is sucrose legal. (it's in the yogurt started yogourmet I bought at whole foods.thanks, Claude CD diagnosed 2 years ago LDN 6/19/09 SCD 6/30/09 not yet 100% because of some supplements I take
