Guest guest
-----Original Message----- It's hard for me to believe that someone would be refused a transplant just for medical marijuana use. It feels like there must be some other factors in that equation. Hepatoligist’s (like all people) make mistakes. I’d call and ask someone (get their name) at the transplant center you want to use. Otherwise you may (like this man) find out too late, it’s a no-no. On the other hand you are right, there was more than meets the eye going on. The article stated; the man was turned down for a transplant by one center. Rather than quit (and wait the 6 months proving he was clean) he opted to continue smoking and just go to another center. In the meantime, the man was growing marijuana in his home and got arrested. Of course the second center would turn him down! He was told, the responsibility at that point - was his alone.
