Guest guest
Hi all! Thanks for accepting me on the forum. Right now I'm confused and scared and everything else. I have to begin with this....for about 10 years I have had a lot of stress off and on. So I know my adrenals are compromised. Over the holidays I went on a bad diet binge, and continued it until Mar. Then one day I became short of breath. Had no idea what was going on. I ended up days later after being treated for bronchitis (which I didn't have) in the emergency room, and had all sorts of tests run. Ruled out heart and lungs, etc. I am now seeing a ND/MD who treats symptoms. She first put me on hydrocortisone, though, and I had my labs done. She said I'm reversing, and my free t3 levels are too low in ratio to my rt3 levels. But she said she was going to add t3 back in AFTER we get the breathing corrected. My thot is this....what if the breathing problem is NOT the adrenals, but the fact that I'm not getting enough available t3? How does this work? My TSH is 4.52. I forgot to mention that I started Naturethroid, 1/4 grain, in January. Sometimes I would forget to take it. After I got sick, I upped it myself to 1/2 gr. Since that did not help, I'm sort of guessing that it started pooling, and the rt3 clogged the t3 receptors so I wasn't getting any t3? The new doctor took me off the Naturethroid completely. I'm just wondering if she should start me on t3 now! Right now I'm having to work from home, and I rarely get out of the house. My temps are all over the board. I take basal, and one day it will be 97.3, today, 96.3, maybe 97.1, etc., etc. Can anyone share stories of the shortness of breath issue, because this is what bothers me the most. Makes it hard to do things. Thanks so much!
