Guest guest
I finally decided to get the fractionated porphyrins test done, since all the other tests seem unreliable and tend to suggest I don't have a mercury problem (although a hair test back in 2001 does). I think I do and the unpleasant reactions I've had to chelation so far tend to support that. The porphyrin test results do also support that but I wonder if anyone can help to interpret them (my doc has never done it before so can't offer much guidance)? The results seem to be expressed in units not used in this group, it was done in France. The key result is elevated precopropophyrin at 14nmol/g creatinin, compared to a reference of 5-9, and a preoopropporphyrin/coporpophyrin ratio of 12% against a reference of 2-6. The comment is " suggestive of mildly mercury toxic effect on body physiology " . Any comments? I have not done a chelation round for about 3 weeks now, and during this respite I've felt worse than for many years with return of a lot of old symptoms like brain fag, constipation, bad sleep. I could do with seeing some light at the end of the tunnel... Guy
