Guest guest
Hi all, FYI from July - December last year I tried the low oxolate diet and I it was difficult to stick to and overall I don't think it worked. However last time I had a real flare-up - in early February (externally as well as extra painful sex), I thought back over what i'd done recently and realised that I'd eaten a lot of nuts and nut bars (rated 'high' on the oxolate diet list). I decided that next time I have my period (a time when we have less sex) which was this week just gone, I would try to eat more nuts and surprise surprise, I've had another flare-up (really irritated vulva this morning) and so I can't say I was surprised when sex was really painful tonight.. So, unfortunately I think I'll have to limit my nut intake, although popcorn is high on the list and my husband and I eat it regularly and it doesn't seem to have any bad effects. I know these sorts of things are different for everyone, but I just sort it best to share what I've learnt. Regards to all, as much as I wish you didn't, it's so nice to know there are people out there who understand what I'm going through.
