the evolution of the group

My primary care doctor once said that everything that happens to me medically will not be related to liver disease -- she was right. I've had an interesting week, but have finally found the time to read some of your emails.

I am awed by the responses to some of the emails and wanted to say that we, as a group, have come a very long way since the group was founded by . Some of the big topics back then were hair loss and the half moons on our fingernails. Do any of you earlybirds remember that? I am convinced that anyone in this group knows more about this disease than many doctors.

I want to say, if the topic is this group, that I too am awed and

amazed by the knowledge and support on this group. It is full of wise

people, and I feel SO LUCKY to be part of it.

I don't always have time to reply as much as I'd like (the last few

weeks have been especially hectic) but I'm always tuned in to the posts

with admiration.
