Guest guest
took seven units this morning instead of ten. morning sugar was 104. had a fine big breakfast so I could see how my one hour of no where bike would deal with it. rode for the hour and took my sugar a bit ago. it is 96 instead of in the 80's when my dose was 12 and ten for a few weeks. the 90's is right where I prefer to keep my sugar most of the time. 70's and 80's are for you T one's, but not me. will eat a low carb lunch as always, ride the no where bike again for one hour and see how the before dinner sugar reading will be. the nurse did call and said she would show the numbers to the saw bones when I was using ten units for about ten days. she does know that as of to day I'm on seven units now. she always ask if I get the shakes or real hungry when I have a low sugar. I've never got the hunger pane until to day. the shakes I have had, but this morning about nine a.m I did get a strong hunger pane like I needed to eat. this is the first time that has ever happened in the 3 months I've been on insulin. I just drank a huge 32 ounce glass of water and it is better now. I suppose taking me off the flex pen could happen or they may lower my dose of met Forman from 2000 a day down to maybe 1000 instead. of course being on the insulin does give me a peace of mind though. I know it sounds kind of strange how a diabetic like me who is a T 2 would rather stay on a low dose of insulin. I guess it is just like a security blanket. well we find out the scoop on Friday. in only 2 days. hope I have lost 2.5 pounds and check in at 285, but not going to cry long or loud if it doesn't happen.
