Guest guest
Dear Chelle, I just started PT last week. I told her that I have trouble with retention and I strain in order to pee or have a BM. She told me to sit on the toilet sitting my bottom all the way back and leaning forward. She also said to put my feet on a box or something so your feet are about 6-7 inches off the floor and keep your feet flat. She said to try to relax and NOT STRAIN. This is sort of like squating but more comfortable. I just started doing this so I do not know if it will help. I will let you know. I read somewhere on the net that you can use valuim in a vaginal suppository for PFD and have it compouned at a pharmacy. Mine are 10mg and I use it twice a day. So far it has really help me a great deal. It is the first thing that has really helped me with my pain even morphine. I still have pain off and on but I have gone several hours with out any pain and I have not gone with out any pain since March when I developed IC and PFD. I also do rescue installations (heperan, lidocaine & sodium bicarbonate) 3-4 times a week and that has helped also. I hope this information will help somebody else. Gaddy Tonight's top picks.
