If you click Holly's link there is a picture...and prices better than at my health food store! Thanks to everyone for your help with this.

Terry Rumas Cocoa butter recipes I have wanted to try these cookies with the cocoa butter truffle. Do me a favor--make them and tell me if they are as delicious as they look! Then I will order the coca butter too! If you browse her other recipes, she has more fun ones with cocoa butter as well.

Dr. Haas advised not to use cocoa or chocolate and this still goes, it isn't just the sugar he was worried about. There isn't anything on cocoa butter on BTVC by Elaine's website.....

The cocoa butter/cacao butter and cocoa or cacao powder are both the same and they are both illegal!

I don't know anything about cocoa butter being legal. It would be very exciting if it was : )

I am in my tenth year of SCD and would like to share a personal opinion. After dabbling in questioning why some things were not legal and in my opinion should be, I finally got on track at the end of Year One and used the endless combinations of legal foods. After nine years, I don't often repeat things as I am constantly experimenting. However, I am a celiac adult, not a busy mom with an ASD child. This year I have tried taking back two non SCD foods and been OK with them but after the novelty wore off only select them occasionally. Our best chance of success is to focus on creative ways to use what is legal and not go out of our way to constantly challenge SCD. I do understand that people want to question the "whys and wherefores>" That said, my own advice is to ignore that cocoa butter product.I use a few nice confection recipes and my tummy and I

find them agreeable.http://uclbs.org/recipes/desserts/divafabfudge.php (Diva's Fab Fudge)CarolSCD 9 yearsCeliac, allerges and sensitivities

Discussions and advertising of alternative diets, illegal foods, treatments that are not recommended, or other subjects that are not part of the science and practices of SCD are not allowed on the list. This does include references made in the body of an e-mail, subject lines and signature lines. This rule is done to protect those new to SCD and to avoid their being in confusion.
