Guest guest
Hi everyone! I am a new member and would love feedback. For years, I knew I had a thyroid disorder but I could not get help. I was repeatedly told that my results were normal even though I had many hypothyroid symptoms. Finally a doctor ran the antibody tests and mine were very eleveated: I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I have been on Armour for years yet have continued to have many symptoms. I suspected adrenal issues. Again, for years I could not find someone to test them. After I finally gave up, a new doctor I saw for my thyroid treatment suggested that I have my cortisol levels checked. I almost fell on the floor! He did preliminary tests and they were off. Since he does not know a lot about adrenal function, he recommended another doctor for me to see. I had saliva testing done and here are the results: Cortisol Morning 6.7 (3.7-9.5) Cortisol Noon .08 L (1.2-3.0) Cortisol Evening 0.6 (0.6-1.9) Cortisol Night 0.5 (0.4-1.0) The doctor told me he could tell from my results that I have no reserves. This is exactly how I feel also. It is very hard for me to get going in the morning, and I am always exhausted. He told me I have severe adrenal fatigue. He also checked my hormone levels. I was very surprised at the results: Estradiol 0.9 L (1.3-3.3) Progesterone 63 L (75-270) Ratio PG/E2 70 L (100-500) Testosterone 15 L (16-55) DHEAS 4.1 (2-23) He told me the DHEAS should be higher. The doctor prescribed 's adrenal protocol for severe adrenal fatigue, DHEA, and hormone creams twice daily. I am told it takes time to start feeling better. What have your experiences been? Any advice and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
