Cessation or improvement of ADEK Vitamin by Axcan Pharma Inc. ?

Dear all, Just a few weeks ago, Chaim went to pick up his ADEK tablets, only to hear that the pharmacy was not able to order them any longer from the distributor (MEGAPHARM in Israel). After investigating and contacting Megapharm directly, I was told that the reason the pharmacist was unable to order them was because the U.S. firm, AXCAN PHARMACY INC. had stopped producing them and that they were working on an improved version. I was also told that the Israeli distributor was looking for another manufacturer of the product and a short term solution. My question is: has anyone heard about AXCAN's cessation of producing or improvement of ADEK? Is there a reason AXCAN is taking it off the shelves? New adverse side effects discovered?
