Guest guest
Dee I'm not familiar with Skype or messenger, but I'm an illustrator and send my larger files with a free FTP service called Yousendit. http://www.yousendit.com You can't send the whole CD at once unless it's one big file. Otherwise, make separate files( JPEGS would work) from the CD and send individually. Good luck george > > Does anyone know how to email medical records (x-rays, etc.) that are on a cd? Guest guest
Dee, Skype and Messenger are programs people use to make phone call from computer to computer. These programs also have options to transfer files. These files are not limited in size like e-mail. Both the sender and the recipient need to use the same program and preferably the same revision (version) of the program. http://www.skype.com/intl/en/ Regards, Chaim From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Deanna Vinovich Sent: Sunday, June 29, 2008 14:55 To: Subject: RE: medical records/OT Chaim: I don't know what Skype or messenger are? -----Original message----- > > > > E-mail will probably not work since these files will be too large. Guest guest
Dee, If the cd's contains many smaller files, you can zip them up into 1 larger archive and then just send the archive. I've done that using 7 zip. 7 zip is and free program that can be used to compress files into zip files and extract the files back out. The attached attachment is an executable file that will install 7 zip. To get gmail to send the file I changed the end to .zex you need to change it back to .exe then you can run it. I've done it and it worked. You can use the file attached or download from 7 zip web site, Yahoo groups won't let me make a post larger than 1 Meg so you will have to download from 7 zip web site or I can email direct to anybody who wants it.
