Guest guest
Prednisone and sleep High doses of corticosteroids like prednisone can cause difficulty sleeping and increased anxiety. When prednisone is tapered and the adrenal glands are starting to wake up and work again can cause fatigue and tiredness. It's usually more a lake of energy than sleepiness. It's one of the reasons that prednisone is tapered slowly. Von
Guest guest
Suzanne had great difficulties with sleep while on Prednisone. She did not overcome them until she was completely off of the prednisone for awhile, so even during the tapering she had difficulties. At first it was “fun” for her because she was so full of energy, but then it became a real problem because she wasn’t getting enough sleep and the “fun” energy just wasn’t there anymore. I hope that someone else in the group might have personal experiences to share about this.
