Guest guest
Richelle, It is always good to get more information from your doctors, I would go for that. I am no doctor, and I can only speak from my own personal experience here. I always felt better after an ERCP than before it. Yes, it is uncomfortable. Yes, there are risks involved. No, you shouldn't do it if you are not absolutely sure you need it. But… it is not an operation, it is a fairly minor procedure that (if performed by a good technician or doctor) is routinely and without too many risks. I would go for the ERCP, after you talked to your doctor to make sure you need it. I am very positive over ERCP, I know there are people on this forum who would only go through it again if they reeaaaly have to because of complications they had after an ERCP. I've emailed my gastro with a few questions and I might change my mind about having the operation. I need more answers from them than what I am getting at the moment. > > Richelle, > > I have been pondering doing the stenting procedure upon recommendation from > my doctor at Mayo Clinic.
