The hepatologist at Baylor gave Ken a scrip for Phenobarbital for his

itching. I told him I had never heard of it being used for itching

and he said we would " be amazed " at how well it worked. Said many of

his patients swore by it. Ken never got to try it, as he was called

in for transplant about one week later. No one med works for

everybody, so give it a shot, all you've got to lose is the itching!

I was given phenobarbital for itching once. I

promptly displayed the side effects (ITCHING), rash,

severe burning sensation and a panic attack, needless

to say it is now on my (drug allergic) list.
