This afternoon I went to the UCSF MS Center for botox injections in both legs and left arm in an attempt to relieve spasticity. It'll take about a week to see if it helps. I took photos of the procedure. The needle in the forearm hurt the most.Dan U dao_nguu@...

Kate:

Yes, this is first time I had botox injections to reduce spasticity. The procedure was less than an hour and will take about a week to see if I have good results. The neuro recommended it because the oral medications (eg, baclofen) haven't helped me.

It's covered by my Medicare and supplemental "Medigap" insurance.Dan U dao_nguu@...

This was your first at doing this, Dan? Or have you done this before? How long a procedure is it? Is it covered by insurance? Sorry for all the questions! Inquiring minds want to know!love,Kate

I hope it works like a charm for you, Dan. That's terrific it's covered by your insurance. I'd imagine it would be expensive. Post back and let us know how it does for your spasticity. My spellcheck sure doesn't like that word! lol.love,KateTo: mserslife Sent: Tue, March 8, 2011 2:14:35 PMSubject: RE: Botox injections
