Guest guest
This afternoon I went to the UCSF MS Center for botox injections in both legs and left arm in an attempt to relieve spasticity. It'll take about a week to see if it helps. I took photos of the procedure. The needle in the forearm hurt the most.Dan U dao_nguu@... 4 of 4 Photo(s) botox04.jpg botox01.jpg
Guest guest
Kate: Yes, this is first time I had botox injections to reduce spasticity. The procedure was less than an hour and will take about a week to see if I have good results. The neuro recommended it because the oral medications (eg, baclofen) haven't helped me. It's covered by my Medicare and supplemental "Medigap" insurance.Dan U dao_nguu@... How long a procedure is it? Is it covered by insurance? Sorry for all the questions! Guest guest
I hope it works like a charm for you, Dan. That's terrific it's covered by your insurance. I'd imagine it would be expensive. Post back and let us know how it does for your spasticity. My spellcheck sure doesn't like that word! lol.love,KateTo: mserslife Sent: Tue, March 8, 2011 2:14:35 PMSubject: RE: Botox injections Kate: Yes, this is first time I had botox injections to reduce spasticity.
