UPDATE: GETAC committee applications accepted through October 1

It has been brought to our attention there has been some difficulty with

the GETAC application link on our website, and we have replaced the

previous application with a new version in Word format. You can now

download the form and save it to your files as well as attach it to an

email for submission. However, photo submission, along with the

application, will have to be a separate attachment if you decide to send

a photo. You still have the option of submitting your application via

fax or U.S. mail. All submissions must be received in our office no

later than October 1, 2009 by midnight.

Also, as a friendly reminder, if your term does not expire on 12/2009,

you do not need to apply for reappointment at this time. If you are not

certain of your expiration date, you can find this information on the

members contact list by committees, available on the website, or feel

free to email me at: indra.hernandez@... or call me at:

to verify.

Interested in serving on a GETAC committee? You have until midnight on

October 1 to get your application in to DSHS. Most of the committees

have openings. New committee members will be notified in early November

and will have the opportunity to attend a committee orientation during

the GETAC meetings held at Texas EMS Conference.

like the governor does when he solicits Council applications. The

photograph will help the committee chairs figure out who you are if they
