My back is better today, not completely, but better. I was thrilled to have seen Lynn. She makes a big green salad with compari tomatoes (think that's how you spell it) shredded mozzarella and chopped ham. We usually have black olives, but she was all out!She makes her own dressing of lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, oregano, basil and Parmesan cheese. It was delish. I'm on board with trying to eat healthy now.Our gray tabby is back! Lloyd spied her out in the garage; it was closed as he shut it down on account of us having rain. She must had hid in there. She was famished! Ate 2 bowls of cat food. She was gone for 2 and a half days. I thought for sure she was a goner.love you,Kate To: MSersLife Sent: Tue, March 8, 2011 1:15:17 PMSubject: Kate's busy day!......Re: update, power, optic neuritis, SPRING!

I hope your back is better by today! I'm glad you got to see your friend Lynn. What kind of salad did you have?hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Purple and white, Sharon. That's cool there's a remote--never heard of a generator having one.Nah, there's no snow on the horizon for us, I'm hoping for it, which I know sounds like I'm nuts! The appointment went quite well today. It was from 10 to 3, with an hour break for lunch. Lynn invited me over for salad for lunch; she lives right down the road from the program. I haven't seen her for months now; so it was super to see her!Lots of forms and paperwork, and self-evaluating to see what sort of learners we are; what type jobs we've had--what has been the positives and negatives of our past jobs, etc. LOTS of info. Too much to tell! I also have such a horrific memory, it's hard to know WHAT I even did today. My back is just killing me! My lower back. I think it's from sitting at the desk,

leaning over. I'm also pretty beat. My day is usually not this full. I am at hockey practice, and never had a rest/nap today, so I'm really beat. I'll get home by 7:45 this evening from practice, so it's not too terribly late. This is the last practice they have til their tournament. (11) and I head up to Lake Placid on Thursday. He'll have 2 games on Friday, 2 games on Sat., and possibly one on Sunday, depending on how they do at the other games.Once again, I'm blabbing! So, I'll stop here for now. Seems kinda quiet on the group. I miss the gabbing!love you all,KateFrom: Sharon

What's nice about this generator is it has remote start so it can be started from inside the house. Cool, huh? I wish I had hyacinths! I used to have them years ago. Are yours purple? One more snow storm for you, huh, Kate? We might get snow over the next few days according to the weather forecast. The wind is really blowing today and the wind generator sounds like a helicopter ready to take off! lol The winds are steady at 47 mph right now. It wasn't really cold this morning but the wind really chilled the house down so we have a fire in the wood stove, but not the fireplace. Good luck with the VESID eval. I think that must be the same as the Vocational Rehabilitation Program here in

Arizona. love SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Yay about your new generator! $200? That's a bargain my friend!Yes, we have hyacinths that are starting to bud also.I'm sorry about your hands hurting. Does tylenol help at all? Pleasedon't ignore flashes of light. I have had a detached retina, and thatis one of the signs, so please, do be careful! I hope it's not that OR ON.I do wish for spring, but I wouldn't mind just one more snow storm! Iknow that sounds nuts, but the kids would get a kick outta not having schooldue to snow one more time.We just got about 3 inches of rain yesterday and the basement flooded. Lloydwas down there for hours with the shop vac cleaning it all up. One of the kidshad their hockey stuff on the floor so it go swamped, so THAT added to the clean up. Luke finally went down

and sorted it out. Hung it up or put it in thewasher.Today I go for my VESID evaluation. It is from 10 to 3. I hope I can last thatlong. I don't know what all is involved, but I'll let ya all know when I get back, orif I'm too tired--tomorrow. VESID stands for something like Vocational-EducationalServices for people with Disabilities. It is a free service and they help with either fundingfor lucrative schooling or help with finding a job that is suited for you. They work at gettingsomething that doesn't compromise your disability $. I was told I could make up to $1000 a month and not jeopardize my disability $. I think they are going to do things like aptitude testing and evaluation on typing skills and computer program knowledge. Our little , our cute gray tabby is gone. She is an indoor-outdoor model, and she hasn't come back in 2 days. That's the longest she's left for. I'm really worried, and my daughter,

, whose cat it is, cursed me out and blamed ME for her disappearance. Totally illogical stuff, you know? I told her I had nothing to do with her leaving and not coming back. I'm trying to start *today* to watch what I eat. I don't just mean see what I'm eating. lol. But to try and be mindful of my intake. I do think it would be wise for me to cut out sugar and white flour and possibly just stick with fish and chicken, and cut out beef and pork. My weight has been creeping up for months now, and I don't want to know how much I weigh. It depresses me no end. I have gone on so many diets it's not even funny, and I just can't stick with it. I'm telling you all this, so that I have some accountability that I'm going to get back on track. So now you all know! This is much longer than I had intended--sorry for that!love to all. We got a generator! My son bought a used military generator that someone bought at auction. It's an Onan (so a really good one). It only had 200 hours on the clock and he got it for $200. This is a $5,000 dollar generator. We were able to use it last night. Yea!I noticed yesterday the lilac bushes are budding out. So the bushes think it's spring but mother nature is throwing another chance of snow our way for tomorrow. This morning a cold front started moving in and the temp dropped 6 degrees between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m.My hands are hurting a lot--very stiff and my right hand is swollen. I don't know what causing it for sure but it's probably arthritis. I had to do some mending and the sewing was very

difficult. I keep thinking about and all her beautiful handwork! MS is doing fine for the most part. I am getting little flashes of light in my right eye again so I may be getting another bout of optic neuritis but I'm feeling fine. I have a bottle of prednisone just in case. No worries here! lolThe chickens and ducks apparently think it's spring, too, because we are inundated with eggs. The turkeys still aren't laying though. The turkeys need to get busy so we'll have our Thanksgiving turkey;)I just want it to be spring! I am looking forward to a nice long spring. Last year we had snow the last part of May. I'm hoping that doesn't happen again this year. No more snow!!!How's everyone doing? hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. YAAY! I was praying she would come back! I am glad he saw her, even if it WA two days, at least he saw her in time...nothing a little food and water and cuddles won't heal...(but isn't that the deal for everything?)

The salad sounds delish!!!

The dressing totally makes the salad! My kids even like it, and theydon't generally like any veggies. That's the reason I like to make chili--there are beans and corn in it. I'm going to actually make a big pot today,as I leave tomorrow for Lake Placid, and I thought it would be good tohave something they can have for 2 or 3 days. Love you Sharon--I'm still SO grateful for your starting this group, love to all,KateFrom: Sharon

YAAY! I was praying she would come back! I am glad he saw her, even if it WA two days, at least he saw her in time...nothing a little food and water and cuddles won't heal...(but isn't that the deal for everything?)

The salad sounds delish!!!

I had to do some mending and the sewing was very difficult. I keep thinking about and all her beautiful

handwork! No more snow!!!How's everyone doing? hugs
