The end of the 2012 Legislative Session is growing closer, and The Family Café’s series of Let’s Talk conference calls continues! The closer the session gets to the end, the faster things can change. So join us this Friday, March 2nd at 4:00 for the next edition of Let’s Talk!

We have created the Let’s Talkseries to keep families and advocates up to date on what’s happening in Tallahassee.Each conference call features various speakers, community leaders, legislative experts and local activists that share a variety of thought provoking ideas and comments regarding the agencies and programs funded by the state.

Tips for Finding Solutions

Be positive

Be clear and stay focused

Talk to the person who can make the difference

Ask what happened and why

Think solutions, not just complaints

Keep within your own experience of the problem

Write down beforehand what you want to say. Include the list of issues and questions you want answered, in case you forget in the meeting.
