question about the chelation guidelines

I'm following the chelation guidelines very closely, using DMSA, and i

have a question.

After Round 3, it says " At this point you can continue for many more

rounds of DMSA alone before adding ALA. This will reduce your body

burden before you start taking mercury out the brain with ALA. This is

often the best path to follow. If you choose to add ALA at this point

then, Start ROUND 4 with 12.5mg DMSA and start ALA 12.5mg with each

dose... "

I'm on round 4 at 12.5mg DMSA only, but contemplating adding in ALA on

round 5. Usually here on the list I hear the rescommendation about

waiting 3 months after amalgam removal to start ALA. But this seems to

conflict with this passage from the guidelines, since Round 4 would

definitely not be 3 months after. This passage indicates that for

Round 4 it would be a possibility to add ALA.

I'm very interested in getting to the brain detox, as I have

progressively worsening symptoms since February. My Thyroid and

adrenals are working very poorly, and my doctor is even suspecting

Lupus. I can barely do anything anymore without extreme fatigue

setting in within moments. I have to sit or lie down 99.5 % of the

time. From all that I have read and am experiencing, I suspect the

regulatory problems of the hypothalamus/pituitary axis are definitely

affected, and therefore my chance of getting well depends on getting

the mercury out of the brain.

In my case, is it appropriate to begin adding in ALA next round? By

the time i do round 5, i'll be 2 months post-amalgam removal.

thanks,

NJ
