Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just made my first batch of bone broth and I am hoping someone can help me.....our marrow bones were meaty, so I didn't add any additional ribs or meaty bones. Roasted the bones & simmered for about 15 hours. I strained it & skimmed the fat after it had cooled, then placed it in the fridge until I could bag it up this morning - and it is now completely congealed....is this the way it is supposed to be? Since this is the first batch (was hoping to put some in our son's SCD smoothies), I wasn't sure if this is what the final product should be like! Did I mess up by not adding the additional meaty bones??? TIA for any suggestions!! Christy B
