Guest guest
> I have been taking pantothenic acid (500mg, 2-3 times/day) and C (500mg, 6X/day). Personally, I was taking C in capsules -- 2-3,000 mgs several times daily, along with 1,000 mgs B5 3-4 times daily, but didn't have much to show for it. But when I started taking C in a powdered form -- there are many -- magnesium, calcium or sodium ascorbate are most common as far as I can tell, and taking it to the point of what's called " bowel tolerance " which simply means that your body tells you it has enough (since C is water soluble it causes your bowel movement to be 'looser', usually preceded by a point in which your stomach may simply 'gurgle' a bit, letting you know if's had sufficient C) well, that's when I noticed I started feeling the effects of the C. In addition, I had even better results when I combined powdered C with powdered magnesium (I found a cheaper generic form of Calm, sold at www.vitacost.com) Your body will react to magnesium much the same as C -- when it has enough, it'll send you looking for a bathroom. But since it helps keep my plumbing clean, which is one way we eliminate toxins, it appears this is healthy, since few people eliminate often enough. Supposedly, we should eliminate each time we have a meal, certainly at least once daily. Not too many do, according to several sources. Anyway, that's been my experience, for whatever it's worth...
