I was at the mall all day today and got super hungry, and since my

family didn't want to go home, we headed to the food court to see if I

had any options. We found chick fil a's grilled chicken, which the

cashier said was marinated only in garlic, salt and pepper. I ordered

two of those plain and ate them. No reaction so far, but my question

is, has anyone else ever tried this and had a reaction? Even though it

sounded legal, I'm not sure I believe them, and if someone else tried

it and had a reaction I want to be sure not to eat it again. Thanks!

You did the best you could under the situation, and it certainly was the best

choice on their menu. Sometimes you just have to do the best you can! I have not

eaten their chicken but I looked on the website. The grilled fillet is not

breaded and is gluten free. After that I have no idea. The best thing to do is

to write them- and ask specifically what the chicken is to start with and if

there are additives in the processing even before it is cooked.

I know this is time consuming. My daughter with food allergies has scoped out

all the restaurants and knows which ones are safe and which ones are not. My

son's room mate at school had severe food allergies and we had to check out all

the food places near the school to find safe ones- and so they could get safe

take-out to their dorm room. It's worth the effort though- so you can eat out if

you want to.

I haven’t tried Chic fil A, per se, but I periodically eat

grilled chicken, bunless hamburgers, salad with strips of streak when I’m out

and I’ve never reacted to any of it. It’s possible I’m not as sensitive to

traces of possible illegals at this point as some are here. In fact, I’m sure

that’s the case; and I made very quick progress after starting the diet (with

the help of LDN). So though I’m careful, I don’t worry about that kind of thing

like some here have to. If you didn’t react, I wouldn’t worry about it.

So, Alyssa, don't assume thatif you don't react now, you won't necessarily react once you are offthe prednisone. Mara
