Guest guest
Does anyone know of any reason it is a problem to reuse safflower oil to fry pancakes?? I only make pancakes on my electric griddle and it has a tray to collect the oil, which always comes off as clear as it went on so I have been reusing it each time and pouring the leftover out of the tray into a mason jar at the end of it all. By the way, in case you didn't know...Ball Canning makes mason jars with straight sides for freezing and PLASTIC SCREW ON LIDS!!! This is my favorite discovery in kitchen gadgetry in ages. I won't can stuff but I will freeze things like crazy!! They are also perfect for ketchup, tomato sauce, mayo, blueberry syrup, honey syrup (all homemade of course) in the fridge. They travel without leaking too. LOVE THEM!! Also, if you need a laugh...my three year old is insisting he needs a winter coat in 80 degrees because the breeze is making him cold...my husband was appalled (he thinks they are going to get heat exhaustion, he is paranoid) and told him that he was going to sweat, get dehydrated and die and iel smiled sweetly and said, " Daddy, it takes a looong time to die! " I guess that makes it okay? LOL Chrissy mama to 3 boys on SCD for 2 months
