Guest guest
What is a good way to seek Live Donors?? My father is sick enough to be ready for a transplant however he is going back and forth as far as his numbers. A live donor is right now his best option. My sister is a cancer survivor so they will not use her and I am too overweight to use mine and my mother is 60 so they will not use her's either. Does anyone have some ideas for me to seek live donors?? Thanks for all of your help. a in NE PA daughter of Clyde diagnosed in 2003
Guest guest
I am sorry to hear of your situation. It really depends on your center. In my brother's case, they wouldn't even consider a live donor as too much damage was done.I know at our center, they would only look at family members as donors, if they were candidates for live donors.I have heard that some centers will allow close family friends to be tested as well. So the best place to start is within your family and close family proximityGood luck and many prayers your way. in Texas.Subject: looking for helpTo: Date: Thursday, October 9, 2008, 7:42 AM What is a good way to seek Live Donors??
