SSDI application - help needed

Hi all,I have an appointment on Monday to apply for SSDI insurance. Any tips or help on doing this so it's approved would be greatly appreciated. I have a complex set of circumstances (UC, J-pouch, PSC, AIH, adrenal gland insufficiency), but my LFTs are pretty much normal, so my hepatologist is very pessimistic that this will be approved. I'm fretting because my State disability will soon be up, and my long term disability insurance was approved and denied and needs to be appealed. I understand this can all take years - which means years with no income!!! Fortunately I have a fairly big family, so worst case scenario I live with one of them. But I could be out of health insurance. Oh, and I've been working intermittently on disability, but my job is going away by the end of the year.If I can get the SSDI approved the first time around I can manage financially, I think.Marie
