Guest guest
Hello, I'm mostly a group observer, but having a very difficult time lately, like I'm on a downward slide with symptoms. I am on the tx list at UCLA, through a recent series of decisions or more like non- decisions, I've gotten the message, " your MELD isn't high enough, don't call us, we'll call you " . My meld is 20 and has been as high as 23. My mother happens to live in ville, FL and attended the PSC Conference in May and was told I probably wouldn't have to be completely re-evaluated at Mayo. So I've had my eval records sent from LA and the hepatologist there agreed to write a referral letter to Mayo, and he said they would resume my f/u care post tx. Today, the Mayo secretary said my file was in financial review, so I'm thinking that's a good sign. I know everyone is individual, but I'd appreciate some example time lines, I'm going to be positively hopeful and assume no complications. I'm trying to anticiptate leave from work (which provides me the medical benefits), care for my children (do I leave them in CA, with my husband who is also ill or do they come with to FL with grandparents to help)? My mom & her husband are going to return to Califorina to help us for as long as needed. Is there anything I'm completely missing? Thanks in advance and I really appreciate all the info I get from you all. Lara PSC dx 2005
