Guest guest
The Thymo IV's are working, slowly, but they are working. Yesterday and today all of Ken's numbers have come down, his Bilirubin went from 11.5 down to today's 9.0. I feel sure his ammonia has come down too. They are going to test it again tomorrow, hopefully the doctor will lower his Kristalose dose if it has. (To the PSC group: IKHO Kristalose is 100% better than syrupy Lactulose.) Ken is feeling better (and that makes all of us feel better!) The 'current' (you know...subject to change) plan of action is: a total of 6 days of Thymo (today Friday is day 3), on Wednesday (20th) they'll do another biopsy, *IF* rejection is in the rear view mirror, they plan on putting the stent in to his Hepatic Artery on Thursday. They'll wait 24 hours and on Friday do an Ultra Sound to check on the stent (to make sure it's in the right place and blood is flowing and not clotting,) Ken will be able to go home. All of this is subject to change. Ken just got his pre-thymo meds, so he'll be sleeping in a few minutes, so I'm heading to the deli for something to eat. Thanks for reading,Barb Subscribe to journal update notification
