OT: my son's adventure with a deer (a little graphic)

My son went to Bloomington, Indiana Saturday morning for a week of leadership

courses. I had him drive my car, a 2010 Toyota Yaris, to make sure he would get

there without mechanical issues since slots for the course are expensive and

limited. It's about a 4 hour drive and halfway through he calls and sets up an

event...telling me there was a truck in front, a van behind, and a semi next to

him, when a deer decided it was a great time to cross the interstate. Being

boxed in, the truck in front of him hit the deer, my son ran over the deer, and

the van behind severed the deer. So here is my 20 yr old tender heart son in his

mama's newish car and this freak thing happens. He pulled off to check

underneath for anything leaking or dragging, no lights came on the dash, and to

catch his composure. It appears all that is there is what the deer left behind

which STILL is on the undercarriage of the car because classes are running until

almost 11pm. unbelievable. I do hope a few runs through a power wash will get

the deer off~
