Debra,The definition of "respite" is for someone to stay with your child while you take a much-needed break away from the child. What you are looking for is more of an assistant-type person. I have seen Care.com recommended here before, although I have no personal experience with them. You may want to post ads on local college bulletin boards as well.

I am looking for respite services where the worker goes along with me and my child to places outside the home, or can take the child places.
