Guest guest
Carol, I wish we could get together for a nice, untainted, unprocessed cup of fresh spring water! We could exchange gluten free recipes, too. For years I've been researching everything...trying to figure out my youngest son's learning disabilities, allergies & eating habits. Eventually I went outside mainstream medicine trying to solve my own health mysteries and that's where the answers were. No one prepared us for having to be our own physicians, on top of everything else, but we & our families will be all the better for it. You're exactly right about starting low-dose with DMSA, slowly increasing over many weeks, then slowly adding & doing the same with ALA. I'm very tired of not being able to achieve progress with chelation, and getting horrible symptoms trying once a day ALA. Now that I've started DMSA and get real results, I want to push it along faster than I should. People in this group helped me apply the brakes. If you haven't checked the group 'files', it's a great resource for where to go for different things. I ordered DMSA direct from VRP (I think that's correct). Quite honestly, I've been studying the Amalgam Illness & Hair Testing books for 2-3 months now, and I'm still picking up things I missed. These books are more overwhelming, and more on target, than anything I've come close to reading on heavy metal toxicity. You really have to give yourself time to soak it all in, and if it really relates to your problems, you'll know you've found the right information you need to proceed. What we really have to do is encourage our doctors to purchase (and actually read) the Cutler books so more chronically toxic people can be helped. You start with the DMSA to remove the mg from the blood ...is this correct? I have been trying to study the two books here and there and my memory might be wrong... From what I gather you start with DMSA and then add ALA to remove from the brain? Do you have to have a prescription for the DMSA? The ALA you can get at the health food stores, right? Or is there one specific brand etc..that is recommended. You see, I have had to become an expert in thyroid disease..adrenal diseasea...celiac disease...and now lyme disease...so, I am worn out with research...and I wish I could just hire someone to come over and do this. I am trying hard to study the book.. I feel like now I need to be an expert in mg removal and it is overwhelming me. I don't mean to complain, just want to do it right. There are so many different thoughts on the subject...but, I do like what the Cutler protocol attempts to do..constant dosing to keep it moving...am I right? Anyway, don't want to overwhelm you with more questions. I just need to get moving on this. I am waiting for my ND to have Doctors Data send me the kit..I am not having much luck it seems. Is there any other way to get this test done. I won't quit until I succeed! LOL Well, it is encouraging to me to hear that it is helping you.. What a blessing huh? To feel your brain working better...WOW...Maybe i better think about getting my amalgams out and doing this.. THanks for any help you can send my way..
