Guest guest
Greetings all, I recently had some Genova lab work done (stool analysis, metabolic profile, adrenal saliva test), and my gp just got the results. He has no experience with Genova, but was willing to order tests at my request. However, now he's not sure what to do with the results. He's willing to meet with me to go over them -- he says they " look normal " -- but doesn't really know that that means in larger scheme of my problems. I know Genova offers a service that allows gp's to schedule a phone consultation with one of their doctors to go over results, but this seems like a cumbersome process, and I'm trying to make things easy for him as possible given his hectic schedule -- and get answers for myself as soon as possible. A naturopath I've seen once recently said she could " absolutely " interpret the tests, then added to send them to her and " give me a few days, " which suggested to me that she doesn't have much experience with Genova but would be willing to do the research. While I appreciate her enthusiasm, I'm a little skeptical of getting a fully informed response. Anyone else have experience with this situation? Are the Genova consultations fairly efficient, timely? Is there another option? Any of you had experience reading these lab results? thanks for your help, tom ibs, cfs
