Did you know that UM-NSU CARD received 10 applications for the " Let Us Adopt Your Classroom " Contest? We received 9 applications from Miami-Dade County Public Schools and 1 application from Broward County Public Schools. Learn How to Actively Participate in Your Child's IEP

Organized by Parent to Parent of Miami, this workgroup will help you prepare for your child's IEP meeting. Identify your child's strengths and weaknesses, use the information to outline educational goals, and request reports. You must bring your child's current IEP.

Spanish sessions are held Wednesdays from 9:30am to 12:00pm

This fall program uses the natural world to enhance the lives of young adults (age 18-30) with disabilities. They will learn about work and independent life skills, environmental education, expressive arts, and exercise in a fun setting.

AMC and the Autism Society of America have teamed up to bring families affected by autism a special opportunity to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment. The auditorium will have its lights brought up, the sound turned down, and the movie starting on time without previews.

Golfing with Autism

Sponsored by Gifts in Golf, this program is designed for boys and girls (ages 7-16) with high-functioning autism. Our aim is to expose children to the fundamentals of golf with a fun and enjoyable approach. Students will gain confidence, motor control, discipline, and knowledge.
