Step by step guidance will be presented about key components of a business plan, resources available in most communities to assist persons with developing a business plan, important information to include in each key component of a business plan, and values of developing a business plan. ABOUT THE PRESENTERS: Donna Whitfield is the Area Supervisor of Employment Services for United Cerebral Palsy of East Central Florida. She has served in this capacity for 5 years, providing employment and supported employment services. Donna also provides Certified Business and Technical Assistance Consultant (CBTAC) services to individuals interested in starting their own business. She attended Bethune Cookman University and Austin Peay University where she majored in Business Management. She worked in Finance, Marketing and Management for 11 years before entering the Social Service field in 1998 as the Lead Case Manager and Quality Assurance Specialist within the Juvenile system. Donna is a member of the Saint Augustine Chapter Supported Competitive Integrated Employment Team Training (SCIETT) program. She has served as a presenter at the Florida Apse Conference “Effective Best Practices” and is co-founder of the SEA Community Outreach which provides migrants and rural residents in St. s County with resources and supports for food, medical/dental, clothing and shelter. is the Employment Service Coordinator and a Project Director at the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities at the University of South Florida, College of Behavioral and Community Sciences, Department of Child and Family Studies. Ms. e is a cum laude graduate of Bethune-Cookman University in Psychology, completed the SSA certification as a community work incentive consultant facilitated by Virginia Commonwealth University, and the Florida Benefits Information and Resource training sponsored by Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities and facilitated by National Disability Institute. She is a Certified Behavior Analyst and vice-President of Florida APSE. is a train-the-trainer for Florida Supported Employment, Personal Outcomes Measures, Money Smart Curriculum, Standing Up for Me, and many other curricula dedicated to principles of Employment First, self-determination, informed choice, full participation and inclusion of persons with disabilities. She currently moderates monthly employment webinars, co-directs the Collaborative on Discovery and Innovation in Employment (CODIE) project, is a consultant at Learning Academy post-secondary education program and Learning Academy employment services at USF, a founding allie to Florida Self Advocacy Alliance, a co-team leader of Florida Alliance for Full Participation, and a board member of YES of America United.
