November 1st is Autistics Speaking Day

This past Thursday marked Autistics Speaking Day. ASDay was established to combat stereotypes about autistic people, to center and showcase autistic voices and experiences, and to advocate for the inclusion of autistic people within the larger community.

On November 1st, autistic people spoke up in posts through a variety of social media outlets, including Facebook, Twitter, and various blogging platforms.

Complete information about Autistics Speaking Day, its history, and its purpose can be found on the ASDay main blog. All autistic people, no matter what their personal and political beliefs, are encouraged to participate in Autistics Speaking Day in any way that they see fit.

Be sure to take time to read through the many thoughtful posts on the Autistics Speaking Day blog.
